$900.00 Order... SEO in Boston Does Pay Off!

Today, We had a new Boston SEO client receive a $900.00 order outside of his normal customer area. His new client said "I found your site on the web and would like to do business with you." This is week one of optimization... Not bad.

What changed for our client?... For the last three years has been paying a website company a monthly fee so he can have a presence on the web. "Presence"... Presence unfortunately doesn't grow a company's profit.

At Sales Success Consulting, we have converted his website into a sales tool.

Our first step is always to ask clients, "What are you trying to accomplish". Our second step is to develop a plan on how we can make it happen with the assistance of Boston SEO and online marketing. This client said that it was awesome getting this order... I told him to expect lots more... You haven't seen anything yet!

SEO Boston and Misspelled Keywords

During our initial research for new SEO clients we sometimes stumble upon opportunities that should have been obvious but were some how overlooked by others. One area are misspellings for important keywords. There are instances that a misspelled keyword is very valuable to your campaign. By optimizing for the keyword, you might just be playing alone and growing your sales until you share your secret. One example is ophthalmologist... but most lay persons spell it opthalmologist... Place yourself in your clients head for a second and think about what important keywords to your business could easily be misspelled. This may have a silver lining.

Boston SEO - Sales Success Requires "Do it Now" Attitude

Let me share with you a sales life tip that has greatly impacted my sales success.

When I was in cold call sales, I had a sales trainer that told me I need to remember 3 words that would impact my cell success/life success.

These 3 words are "Do It Now."  "Do it now."

I find myself to this day saying these words multiple times a day to motivate myself to be better and more impactful.
As a sales professional, these 3 words mean making extra call when you're exhausted, sending out the appropriate sales materials or a "thank you" note right away after a meeting and may even mean filling up your car the night before an important client meeting, role playing your sales message into a handheld recorder or in front of a mirror until the message feel smooth, or  taking a few minutes in putting on paper your personal goals.

On my 1st week on the my second sales job, I was about an hour and 20 min. away from home and made a call after 5 o'clock on a potential customer.  It would've been easy for me to have said I'll do it next time but I heard those 3 words and walked through that door.  The customer said my timing could not have been any better that he been thinking about upgrading his equipment.  It was the largest sale of any sales representative that year.

Sales Success is not luck.  My belief is that comes from listening to customers, overcoming objections, asking them to do something that is going to benefit their clients, and remembering those 3 words.

Do it now. Do it now!

Local Directory Submissions lead to Online Success

It is extremely beneficial to submit your business profile to trusted local directory sites. With Google’s new algorithm for local, it appears that if your business is listed on these sites it will increase the ranking of your Google Places page. A listing on Yahoo Local appears to also be a factor; likewise for Yelp. Other directory sites include Citysearch, Urbanspoon, TripAdvisor, Judy’s Book, and Insider Pages. Another possibility to consider is a niche directory. The previously mentioned sites cover a wide range of different business, but many more targeted local directories also exist. The best way to find these sites is to research your competitors. Find their Places page and look for the source of some of their reviews. If you need some help making impact, please call me at 800-539-0685.

Tip For Google Adword Campaign Success

Make sure that you are consistently reviewing your website's Google Analytics account. I want you to particular attention to the Content tab, then Entrance keywords. There may be entrance keywords that do not drive sales leads. Write these keywords down and add them in the negative keyword list of your Adword account. By consistently using this technique, it is possible to reduce your Adword spend on keywords that were not going to be beneficial for you.
